Choir Practice

Sing, learn new music, and help lead worship as part of Cedarfield's choir.

A choir rehearsing together in the sanctuary with a conductor leading the group.

About this program

Cedarfield's choir supports Sunday worship and special services by helping lead congregational singing and preparing choral music. The repertoire can include hymns, contemporary sacred music, seasonal works, spirituals, global music, and arrangements chosen for particular worship themes.

Choir practice is both rehearsal and community time. Singers work on notes, rhythm, interpretation, blend, and confidence, while also getting to know one another and sharing in the life of the music ministry.

The choir rehearses regularly during the program year and normally gathers for a shorter warm-up before Sunday worship. Current rehearsal details and seasonal breaks are maintained in the At a glance panel.

New singers are welcome to inquire. Reading music is helpful but not required for every participant; the Minister of Music can help prospective members decide whether the current choir season is a good fit.
